Privacy notice
Last updated 3 November 2026. Torvella is in early testing. This is a plain-language notice that will be replaced by a full policy before we open to the public.
Who we are
Torvella Holdings (Pty) Ltd is a South African company. Torvella is an AI personal shopper: you tell it where you are going, and it suggests complete outfits from South African online stores.
What we collect
- What you type to the stylist: the occasion, budget, style, and your requests to change a look.
- If you create an account: your email address and name.
- If you choose to give them: your gender and body measurements (bust, waist, hips, neck). You can skip any of them.
- Basic technical information such as your device and browser, to keep the service working.
Why we use it
Only to search for and style outfits for you, to remember your details if you have an account, and to fix and improve the service. We do not sell your information.
Who else handles it
We use other companies to run Torvella. They process your information for us, and their servers may be outside South Africa:
- Anthropic, which provides the AI that chats with you and styles the outfits. What you type is sent to it.
- Vercel, which hosts the website.
- Supabase, which stores accounts and saved details.
When you tap a product, you leave Torvella and go to that store's own website. The store's own privacy rules then apply. We may earn a commission when you buy.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also skip measurements and use Torvella without an account.
